Driving and Texting
I discovered something today, while driving home from work. Holding your phone under the steering wheel and texting looks a lot like furious masturbation to the person in front of you, looking through his rear view mirror. I was, as you might have surmised, the man in the front car, not the potential masturbator. Not that I, on a stressful drive home, wouldn't... never mind.
At a particularly long stoplight on my way home, I peeked into the rearview mirror. The gentleman behind me was hunched over his steering wheel, clearly texting in an sms frenzy. It looked like he had gotten a message that really agitated him, the frustration showed on his pinched face, cords in his neck sticking out. He continued firing off message after message until finally received one that really hit home. He stiffened, then must have realized it was all a joke, because he completely relaxed. That sort of emotional rollercoaster will evidently take a toll on a person, because he then lit a cigarette.
The light turned, and I drove away. I'm glad he didn't hit me or anything. Texting and driving is dangerous.
